Stencil-Prep® is the skin prep made to work with InkJet Stencils®. It neutralizes the skin's pH so the stencil's dye transfers cleanly, with vivid lines that last through long sessions. Vegan and made in the USA, in an 8 oz spray or a 1 gallon studio size.

How to Use

  1. Clean and dry the skin.
  2. Spray a thin coat and rub in until slightly tacky, 1-2 minutes.
  3. Press the stencil face-down for 30 to 60 seconds, then peel slowly.
  4. Let it dry before tattooing.

FAQ

  • Do I need a transfer solution? Yes. InkJet Stencils® ink needs Stencil-Prep® to transfer. Without it, the stencil won't take to the skin.
  • Can I use my existing transfer solution? Many artists get great results with other solutions, but only Stencil-Prep® is designed to pH-activate our ink, for the most vivid, longest-lasting stencil.
  • How do I get the best transfer? Spray a thin coat and rub it in until the skin feels slightly tacky, about a minute. Too wet and the lines can blur.
  • Is it cost effective? Absolutely! Each 8 oz bottle is twice the size of the common 4 oz primers and covers 500+ applications, a few cents per stencil. Busy studios can go further with the 1 gallon refill, which costs about half as much per ounce.
